Back when we were children, nothing was more exciting than getting our costumes ready for Halloween. Of course, filling our bags (or pillowcases) with as much candy as we could carry was what motivated us, but nothing beat the first time we stepped into our costume, put on our face paint and looked in the mirror at our transformed new selves. And while our days of trick-or-treating are long gone, we still get that childlike excitement when we dress up for a Halloween party with our friends, family, or colleagues. That being said, now that we are a little older, we strive to be more creative and witty with our costume choices, staying far away from cliché costumes (ghosts, witches, fairies) and leaning towards ensembles that are a little more eccentric and unexpected. For those who are still scratching their heads wondering what to dress up as, behold our five favorite Halloween costumes that are wonderfully weird and fun to make as well!
